I just got back from a trip back home to Kalamazoo, Michigan. This is one of my favorite buildings, anywhere.
The mirrored glass on the front of the building reflects in lots of different directions so you can see the same thing from many perspectives. Also, you might see something in one square and something completely different in another square.
It just reminds me of the limitness variances of perspective that are available to us as actors and as residents of earth. From any location, we can choose a multitude of directions. With any line, we make an in-the-moment choice based on our perspective. When we don't book the job, it may be that our perspective...even though we are reading the same script...varies vastly from that of the casting director. Not necessarily a wrong choice, just a different perspective.
